Our new online builder enables our customers to design the diy metal building they want. It’s a wonderful first step in the creation process. Your custom building is saved and automatically sent over to us to continue to the next step.

Beginning the design process

When you first visit the online builder you will be asked to select from a collection of starter building templates.  You’ll find all of our favorite buildings styles there and they serve as a great way to start the design process.

Starter Building Templates

Our Gable Buildings are typically selected for when people are looking for a garage or workshop.  They provide a lot of open space without the interference of structural posts.  This is also known as freestanding.  This design has also been equipped with front and/or rear lean-tos and turned into a ranch home.

The American Barn template is great for people who are looking for a traditional look.  They supply you with a large amount of room on the ground floor, but you can customize the building further with a full or partial second floor.

Lastly, our Gambrel Barn design provides our customers with the most amount of square footage.  Gambrel buildings are by far the most popular of our designs.  Many people will design them with a shop or garage on the first floor and a home above on the second floor.  You can even add lean-tos to either side to serve as more garage space or even just a nice front porch.

Design Tools

On the left side of the builder you will see a column of tools.  These are what you’ll use to makes changes and modifications to your steel building.  They include: View, Dimensions, Edit, Leantos, Openings, Open Bays, Mezzanine, Skylights, and Props.  When you click on each tool it will give you a brief tutorial on how to use it.  When in doubt though you can always find the help button in the bottom right.

All Finished?

When you have finished your design and would like for us to draft up a pricing quote for you just select the green button Get A Quote button at the top right.  That will send the design file to our sales department and they will contact you quickly.
